Sempre caro mi fu quest’ermo colle,<\/p>\n

e questa siepe, che da tanta parte<\/p>\n

dell’ultimo orizzonte il guardo esclude.<\/p>\n

Ma, sedendo e mirando, interminati<\/p>\n

spazi di l\u00e0 da quella, e sovrumani<\/p>\n

silenzi, e profondissima quiete<\/p>\n

io, nel pensier, mi fingo, ove per poco,<\/p>\n

il cor non si spaura. E come il vento<\/p>\n

odo stormir tra queste piante, io quello<\/p>\n

infinito silenzio a questa voce<\/p>\n

vo comparando: e mi sovvien l’eterno,<\/p>\n

e le morte stagioni, e la presente<\/p>\n

e viva, e il suon di lei. Cos\u00ec, tra questa<\/p>\n

immensit\u00e0 s’annega il pensier mio:<\/p>\n
